VRHS Robotics teams are going to REGIONALS! All three teams that went to Semi-Regionals (9527 Rogue Resistance, 21438 Chaotic Current, and 7797 Victorian Voltage) made it to the semi-final rounds yesterday. Such a major accomplishment!

All three teams made it to semi-finals of the Semi-Regionals!

Seb, Captain of Rogue Resistance, had first pick during semi-finals due to 9527 being in 1st rank position. He chose 3708, the 2nd ranked team. He planned to choose 7797, ranked 11th, as his 2nd and final pick, but his strategy was blocked when the 15390 chose 7797.

Instead, he chose 21438 which was ranked 20th due to some unexpected difficulties–after getting a commitment from the team that the bot would be fixed in time for the semi-final rounds. The pressure was on!!

Ultimately, alliance 9527, 21438, and 3708 won the finals. It was definitely a nail-biter. We are just so proud of all of these students.

Rogue Resistance Wins Control Award and Advances

In addition to advancing to Regionals, 9527 Rogue Resistance received the Winning Alliance – Captain award and the Control Award sponsored by Arm, Inc.

The Control Award celebrates an FTC team that uses sensors and software to increase the robot’s functionality in the field.

21438 Chaotic Current received the Winning Alliance 2nd Team selected award. They did a great job of overcoming challenges in the Semi-Regionals and delivering in the end.

Victorian Voltage Receives 2nd Place Control Award

7797 Victorian Voltage made it to the semi-final rounds of the Semi-Regionals and received 2nd Place Control Award. The team had a great season!
